Quercetin Complex is a high-strength nutritional complex that contains quercetin plus other bioflavonoids and vitamin C to support immune health andhealthy immune system function.
Bioflavonoids area group of plant pigments that give colour to many fruits and vegetables including, onions, apples, broccoli and berries. Quercetin, rutin and citrus bioflavonoids have antioxidant activity that decreases free radicals formed in the body and helps reduce damage to body cells.
Quercetin Complex supports blood vessel and capillary health.
Adults and children over 12 years: Take 1 tablet, three times a day, with food, or as directed by your health professional.
Does not contain egg, milk, peanut, tree nuts, animal products, gluten, lactose or artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
WARNINGS:
Vitamin supplements should not replace a balanced diet.
DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Contraindicated with digoxin - quercetin may (theoretically) increase drug bioavailability.
Quercetin may induce CYP3A4, therefore caution is advised with medications chiefly metabolised by CYP3A4.
Caution with midazolam - quercetin may decrease blood concentrations of the drug. Use under professional supervision.
Caution with cyclosporin - quercetin may increase blood concentrations of the drug. Use under professional supervision.
Caution with antihypertensive drugs - quercetin may have additive effects. Monitor blood pressure.
Caution with diclofenac - quercetin may increase plasma levels and prolong the half life of the drug, which may increase effects and sideeffects of the drug.
Caution with paclitaxel (antimetabolite) and pioglitazone (hypoglycaemic) - quercetin may increase bioavailability of drugs. Use under professional supervision.
Caution with quinolone antibiotics - quercetin may compete with quinolone antibiotic binding sites.
Caution with aluminium-based antacids - vitamin C increases the amount of aluminium absorbed. Separate dose by at least 2 hours.
Caution with warfarin - Quercetin Complex may increase the risk of bleeding (theoretical).
Caution with iron supplements - quercetin is an iron chelator. Seperate dose by 2 hours.
CAUTIONS:
Caution in iron overload conditions, such as haemochromatosis, as vitamin C can increase iron absorption.
